Samurai Sentai Shinkenger The Movie: The Fateful Battle

The sword is a dinosaur.

Movie | Script | Japanese VOBsubs

Here you go, have the Shinkenger movie. Have the vobsubs as well for no reason, though I didn’t mux them into the mkv. (But there they are if you really want them for some reason) I believe this is supposed to take place between Acts 22 and 23, but it’s not really that huge of a deal. Pretty short for a movie. This is Decade’s fault since All Riders vs Dai Shocker was being hyped much more. You can also tell they haphazardly shot this movie before they even had an actor for Genta, or the Daikai-Oh suit finished, and they were just crammed into it at the last minute. This is also Decade’s fault.

A few things to note, I changed the title from Fateful War to Fateful Battle. The translation for the title’s kanji can be made as “Decisive Battle” as well. I never really felt like this was a war, since it was just a 5 man team going into battle, not two full on armies going at it. I kept “fateful” because in the context of the movie, it seems like the final confrontation between Takeru and Manpuku was a fated fight that would have to happen one day. Second, the aspect ratio for this movie is just a bit under 16:9. The DVD has about 12 pixels of black space on the top and bottom of the video, so I just cropped it out. Usually I’d just stretch cropped out pixels, but 20ish pixels is more than negligible, so it should be 853 x 464 instead of 853 x 480. Final note would be the finishing attack for Dinosaur Shinken-Oh (Yeah, I used Dinosaur, wanna fight about it?)  was TLd as Heaven’s Divide thanks to one kind man for helping me make heads or tails of the literal translation TV-N gave for it. Enjoy the movie!
